OPEN THREAD: Preseason- Warriors vs Hornets in LA

New, comments

The Warriors are coming off wins against Efes Pilsen (see Recap Part I | Part II), the Denver Nuggets, and the Portland Trailblazers. Even though the Warriors beat a non-NBA squad and the worst squad in the league, it's still been a fairly impressive preseason for the Dubs.

At 4pm today the Warriors square off against the New Orleans/ Oklahoma Hornets in LA at the Staples Center. The new-look Hornets are one of the Warriors' main competitors for a lower seed in the Western Conference playoff bracket, so this is a good game to pay attention to. Some things to look for:

  • Can the Warriors hold the super-fast Chris Paul to a decent stat line?
  • Will Peja give the Dubs trouble? Who will guard him?
  • Will Tyson Chandler dominate the boards against the Murphy-less Warriors?
  • Is Ike Diogu really in Nellie's doghouse (see Warrior fan 23's diary Is Ike Diogu in the doghouse???)

The game isn't on local TV or radio, so it looks like most of us will be clicking refresh on a live boxscore a million times this afternoon. In between refreshes make sure to post game thoughts in the comments. If you live near Staples (I'm sorry!) and you're checking out the game in person, definitely email us some game pictures or post them in a diary or comments section for the GSoM community to enjoy. Bonus points if you manage to grab some video highlight clips.

THROW UP A BIG W!
