OPEN THREAD: GAME #16 - Warriors vs Pacers

Warriors (W-L): 9-6

Pacers(W-L): 8-7

Time: 7:30PM PST

TV: FSN Bay Area

Radio: KNBR 680

Tonight's a big night. This could be the night where Nellie records win number 1,200. Yep, one thousand two hundred wins. He's currently second all-time behind Lenny Wilkens' 1332 wins. It would be a huge deal for the team to get this win for him especially at home (and with GSoM in attendance!). Yup, 4 of us will be at the game (Atma, FJ, YaoButta, and Hash) courtesy of our good friends at Fox Sports Net. They really hooked us up this time!

So how do the Warriors secure Nelson's milestone?

Well they'll most likely have to do it without Baron again. He's currently a game time decision.  He might play to help Nellie get the win, but I can see him sitting to rest the ribs for one more game. Since there's 2 days in between games, resting today gives him an extra 3 days to get healthy again.

For the rest of the team, it's quite simple, keep doing what they've been doing. That means they have to hustle on both ends of the floor, attack on offense, not settle for too many jumpers, make free throws, and rebound.

They'll have to do all of this against the Pacers big man Jermaine O'neal. Earlier this might have seemed daunting, but with Andris Biedrins playing out of his mind, I'm confident he can at least negate what O'neal might be able to do. Watch out for Jamaal Tinsley as well, he's been playing much better recently. The Pacers also have some decent role players in Sarunas Jasikevicius, Stephen Jackson, and Danny Granger. The wild card in this game may just be the guy the Warriors were trying to trade for over the summer, Al Harrington. It's a talented roster, with a very good coach, so this could be a dangerous game. The Warriors can't suffer from a letdown after knocking off the Jazz and Spurs. This is a team they should beat, and I think they will.

"I worry about everything with a young team," Nelson said. "There isn't anything I don't worry about. I told them today, 'Don't get too full of ourselves. The Force was with us the last two games."

Vegas Odds: No Line

Prediction: Warriors by 11
