Coming off an impressive win in Orlando, the Warriors travel down to South Beach to square off against the NBA Champion Miami Heat this late afternoon. The records will shock you. Can you believe the Warriors are at .500 through 28 games and the Heat are 3 games below .500? If the regular season ended today the Warriors would be the 8th seed in the Western Conference playoffs, while the Heat would be sitting at home with the 9th spot. Something tells me that Coach Riley, Shaq, and Gary Payton aren't too worried about the early regular season though. This an ideal opportunity for the Dubs to catch the Heat napping in the first half of the regular season minus the big fella and extend their winning streak on the road to 3.
Injuries: Mickael Pietrus (broken nose), Andris Biedrins (he fell on his back hard last night and it wasn't pretty), Jason Richardson (probably sitting this one out), Troy Murphy (still in LA), Zarko Cabarkapa (um, I don't think so). The Warriors are going to need big nights from Matt Barnes, Mike Dunleavy, and Adonal Foyle if they're going to win this one.
Vegas Odds: Heat by 6
Predictions:
- Warriors by 1
- Adonal Foyle outplays Zo.
- Dwyane Wade goes nuts with 30+ points and 10 dimes.
- Yay Area product Gary Payton goes retro with a big night.
