JRich Could Be Out for 2 Months with a Broken Hand

Jason Richardson's tough season got even tougher last night as he broke a bone in his right hand. The injury was most likely caused by an accidental kick from Mickael Pietrus while MP2 was trying to swat a shot. JRich could be out up to 8 weeks, but a definitive timetable hasn't been set yet. We'll keep you updated.

It's been painful watching JRich struggle this season. After an amazing season in which he thrilled Warriors Nation with his usual dunks, improved 3pt accuracy, and never quit attitude, Jason has struggled mightily this season with career worst's in pretty much every statistical category after a minor off-season knee surgery. We haven't seen the real JRich this season and Nellie agrees:

"We haven't seen the real Jason Richardson anyway," Nelson said. "There was somebody disguised as him playing. Hopefully it's not too much of a setback for him or us. His knee should be really healthy (when he returns)."

Everyone's going to miss JRich out there and it's good to see his teammates got his back:

"That always hurts," Golden State's Keith McLeod said of the injury. "Jason's a great guy and brings a lot to this team. It's unfortunate that happened. I just pray for Jason and wish him the best. We'll see what happens."

You have to feel for the man. JRich is the heart and soul of this squad. Everyone here wishes him a successful recovery and nothing but the best. He will be sorely missed.

With JRich out for a big chunk of the remaining part of the season, someone has to step up and help Baron Davis shoulder the scoring load. Who will it be?
