Recap: Warriors 99, Cavaliers 91

No Baron. No Murphy. No problem. Just send Superman to the rescue. JRich came up big tonight dropping a cool 31 on Lebron and those other guys.

Boxscore

This is about the only way Lebron could stop JRich.

Baron was injured when he twisted his ankle in the first half. The team pulled together without him as Derek Fisher stepped up to run the point in Baron's absence. He came up with a very nice game as he nailed his three's. Fish was key in the Warriors victory tonight dishing and hitting big shots.

MD Jr. had a decent game as well contributing in an all around fashion as he picked up 4 boards and 5 assists to go with his 14 points. Coming off the bench has seemed to steady his play in the past few games as he's been more consistent in what he's bringing to the table.

It was good to see the "untradeable" Ike play 19 minutes in place of Murphy. The past 3 games he's played a combined 22 minutes, so he finally got some burn and helped the squad to victory.

Biedrins exploded tonight, going for 11 points on a perfect 5-5 shooting. His second double digit scoring game of the season. Good to see him contributing down low. His activity on defense is huge for the Warriors and tonight he was able to stay out of foul trouble with only 3 fouls in 27 minutes. The 3 headed monster of Foyle, Diogu, and Biedrins held the Cavs big men Gooden and Big Z to a combined 15 points and 5-20 shooting.

Lastly, it's nice to shoot 50% from the field. You usually win those games. Tonight was one of those nights. Of course tonight resembled many other nights from the charity stripe, 16-29 (55%). Yuck. The game wouldn't have come down to the last couple minutes if the Warriors converted those free throws. Either way, a win is a win is a win is a win. I'll take it.

Warrior Wonder
Mr. Jason Richardson. Perhaps he felt snubbed by the All-Star committee and he wanted to show them that he could match Lebron point for point in a showdown in Cleveland. Perhaps he just felt like ballin. Perhaps he's just good. Either way, he stepped it up tonight to put the Warriors into the win column.
