Daily Play Hype #13

Phoenix 120, LA Lakers 90 - Boxscore - Phoenix wins 4-1
This isn't what game 7's are supposed to be like. Phoenix came out firing on all cylinders outscoring the Lakers 32-15 in the first quarter. At the half the Suns were still up 15. At the end of 3, they were up 25! What's going on? This was one of the most anticipated games of the first round and it turns out to be a dud. The Lakers took Game 5 off when they had the momentum and thought they could come back to LA and win it. Just goes to show that you should not take anything for granted...What am I going to miss most about the series? The WWF moves that these teams have been putting on each other. Most memorable moves? The Luke Walton flying in the air tackle of Tim "I'm damn lucky I got traded" Thomas and the Raja Bell clothesline of Kobe "not the MVP" Bryant...By the way, Phil, this is your first series loss when you have the lead in wins. Good job of having your guys prepared for the game...Maybe the Lakers should have played a little D. You're not going to win when Phoenix shoots 62% (That number reminds me of the Warriors' team free throw percentage)...Here come the Clippers and Suns. If Kwame and Odom can dominate the inside against Phoenix imagine what Brand and Kaman will do. Scary...Phoenix, talk about balanced scoring, 7 guys in double figures, led by Leandro Barbosa's 26. Leandro Barbosa! Somebody guard that guy, he's had two excellent games in a row...Leandro Barbosa...Leandro Barbosa...Leandro Barbosa...

Ohhh, so that's how he scored 26 (10-12 FG). Look at that defense, nice job Luke.

Kobe, you won't be needing this anymore. Bye!

No they're not chanting "M-V-P, M-V-P". They're saying "You're guil-ty! You're guil-ty!"

Look they even hold hands when on the bench. Jungle Fever anyone?

Kobe's not doing anymore McDonald's commercials, but "Ba da ba ba ba, I'm lovin' it"

Boxscore Badboy: Boris Diaw. This man has stepped up his game this year. Check out the line in a crucial game 7: 21 points (8-14 FG), 6 boards, 9 dimes, a steal.
