In case you missed it the Warriors were expected to sign Dajuan Wagner earlier today. It's now confirmed on Warriors.com. The Warriors deserve some props for this move. Wagner is only 23 and very talented. He's overcome a ton of injuries and actually had his colon removed last October. This is a tough, young man with nothing but upside. I'm impressed that the Warriors beat out several other teams to get him too. |
Link City!:
- Warriors sign Dajuan Wagner, prepare for four-guard line-up? by our man Tim Kawakami: Tim's thinking four-guard lineup. I'm thinking back to the intra-mural lineups Fantasy Junkie, DJ Fuzzy Logic, and I used to have on our college squads. 4 or 5 guard lineup = fun, fun, fun, but loss, loss, loss.
- Warriors sign former Cavalier Wagner by the sharp MT: "Wagner would join Mickael Pietrus, Devin Brown and Monta Ellis as backup shooting guards behind Jason Richardson. Brown, who has one year left on his contract for $2.6 million, might be the odd man out as the Warriors have an option to buy him out for $500,000."
- Warriors sign Dajuan Wagner from InsideHoopsNewsWire: This is an interesting tidbit- "InsideHoops.com hears it's a nonguaranteed two-year deal, but we haven't confirmed that."
- Wagner signs with Warriors after two years out of NBA (AP): Call him "Wilt" Wagner- 100 points in a high school game!
- Wagner on long road back (August 27th) for The Philadelphia Inquirer: The man's worked hard to come back. Very admirable.
