Former Warrior (great?) Paul Mokeski is headed to the Fort Worth Flyers as an assistant coach. The Fort Worth Flyers are the D-League affiliate for the Charlotte Bobcats, Dallas Mavericks, and Philadelphia 76ers. |
What are your thoughts on former Mavs coach Don Nelson, now at Golden State, who coached you for five seasons in Milwaukee? What you see is what you get. He's been known as an innovative coach. He's been that way from Day One. But he's changed. When I played for him, he was tougher. He had an edge to him. If I did my job as a player and set the pick when I was supposed to, everything was cool. If I didn't do my job, I'd hear it. We were a defensive team. Nellie was one of the guys who came up with trapping and these trick defenses.
When you heard he was going to be coaching again, were you surprised? No. I called him that morning and congratulated him and wished him luck. It's in his blood. He's meant to do this.
Anyone have a favorite Paul Mokeski memory?
