OPEN THREAD: GAME #35 - Warriors vs. Sonics

Warriors (W-L): 17-17
Sonics (W-L): 13-22
Time: 7:30 PM PST
TV: FSN Bay Area
Radio: KNBR 680

Being back at .500 when we should be 2 games above it is very disappointing. But we'll move on. Tonight we get the Sonics at home. That's like guaranteeing a win. The Warriors are awesome at home (13-5) and the Sonics are poor on the road (4-14).

Seattle is still without it's second best Rashard Lewis, so the players to keep under wraps are Ray Allen and Ridnour. I'm not sure how they guard Ray Allen tonight. Put Pietrus on him? Double team him? It'll be interesting to see what Nellie does. I'm sure they'll have to switch up the D every now and then so that the Sonics don't know what to expect. Then down low you have to worry about Wilcox. Every post player on the opposing team seems to do well against the Warriors and tonight will probably be no different.

But the Sonics can't stop the Warriors fast-paced offense so expect the B-squared connection, Baron and Barnes to go off...again. Dunleavy and Pietrus should get their 15 or so. Sprinkle in a 20 point effort from Biedrins tonight and we have the recipe for a win.

Vegas Odds: Golden State favored by 10 points.

GSoM Prediction:

  • Warriors win by 14.
  • Biedrins records 20-14
  • Warriors "hold" Sonics to less than 144
  • Jesus Shuttleworth held to under 20

Win on 3. 1, 2, 3, WIN!!!
