OPEN THREAD GAME #47 - WARRIORS @ 76ERS

76ers

Warriors (W-L): 21-25
76ers (W-L): 15-32
Time: 4:00pm PST
TV: FSN Bay Area
Radio: KNBR 1050

(Not so) Fresh off a booty wooping by the Hawks, the Warriors enter into the now AI-less and C-Webb-less city of brotherly love. The last time these two teams met, the Warriors cruised to 116-97 win. Unfortunately, we can't play all our games at home.

We've thrown out so many different words to describe how our favorite team has played. "Embarassing" "poorly""horrible" "ugly", even "fugly." But Baron says it best. Simply put:

But the Warriors are perhaps facing one of the least exciting teams in the NBA. No offense to 76ers fans, but with the loss of AI, does this team where unproven and withering "potential" is your star player (Andre Iguodala) in this current AI-regime perhaps put you at the level of indecency of the 97-98 Warriors team post-choking incident? Which team do you think is the worst team in the NBA? Which Warrior team do you think has been the most unwatchable in your tenure as a loyal Warrior fan?*

Vegas Odds: Warriors by 2 (as of 11:26 pm PST)

Predictions:

  • Warriors by 4
  • Baron goes for 27pts. 5rbs. 9ast.
  • Harrington grabs 7 rbs!
  • Iggy has 3 highlights dunks: a reverse, tomahawk, and an extreme tea bag on Foyle
  • Foyle recovers with style
*inspired by BDavis' diary "Who was your favorite Warrior to hate and just favorite ex-warrior?

UPDATE:

Warriors WIN!! 102-101

Thanks to a clutch drive, spin, and lay-in by Al Harrington.

Stay tuned for the recap!
