OPEN THREAD: Game #60 - Warriors @ Knicks

Warriors (W-L): 26-33
Knicks (W-L): 26-33
Time: 4:30pm PST
TV: FSN Bay Area
Radio: KNBR 1050

Today's Midterm: In New York for Art
So far, we've received a D+ in History against the Bucks and an F in Geology against the Bulls. But hey, Art is our best subject right?

A Special Night
March 2, 1962: Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points against who? Yup you got it, the New York Knickerbockers.

March 2, 2007: Who on the Warriors is going to score 100 tonight?

It's interesting that both the Warriors and Knicks have the same record of 26-33 and are both 2.5 games out of the 8th playoff spot in their respective conference. It's also interesting that both teams aren't very good. The winner inches closer to the playoffs while the loser inches closer to the lottery. The Knicks of course would like to make the playoffs since Chicago gets their first rounder no matter what. Man giving your first rounder away in a loaded draft for fatty Eddy Curry, not such a bright move. Now you have no choice but to make the playoffs. As far as the Warriors, some would say tank it and others say make the playoffs. I think this is the first season in recent memory that tanking it has not been the only option.

Vegas Odds: Knicks by 5.5 (as of 10:41am PST)

Predictions:

  • Knicks by 25. Yup I typed it. The first open thread to predict a non-Warriors win.
  • David Lee makes the Warriors look like the Rookies in the Rookie-Sophomore game
  • Monta Ellis matches Wilt's 100 point game.
  • Of course Monta's night all goes for naught as (edit: Stephon Marbury) scores 125.

Make sure to give us your predictions in the comments before tip off and post any comments you have during the game right here.
