The Warriors have officially inked CJ Watson for the rest of the season [Warriors.com]. Congrats to CJ! Lucky #100. Hit Read More for the rest.
Signed, Sealed, and Delivered!
CJ isn't that pass-first PG that the Warriors would probably like to have backing up Baron Davis, but Nellie seems to trust him. Nellie actually plays KBLX (not just on the FM dial!) unlike Patrick O'Bryant, Brandan Wright, Marco Belinelli, and Kosta Perovic, which is key. He also seems to enjoy going uber-small with BD, Monta Ellis, and CJ for significant portions of the game for some unknown reason. Hey, in Nellie we trust.
Watson hasn't done anything really spectacular or eye-popping in his 10 games thus far with the Dubs (including 2 DNP's), but hanging onto him for the rest of the season seems well worth the gamble. It's a low risk, potentially decent reward type of move. Here's his game log thus far [Yahoo! Sports]:

Did the Warriors make the right move holding onto CJ? Think this means Gary Payton to the Dubs is over?
