All about GSOM Night 4
The game has been sold out for over a week now but we still squeezed in 427 tickets sold to GSOM community members. I'm sure all of you will have fun.
- 400 of you will be getting t-shirts - pick them up at section 212. You MUST have your GSOM T-shirt voucher to receive a t-shirt.
- All 427 of you will be put in a raffle for free tickets, merchandise, and signed memorabilia.
Update: The winners will be posted on GSOM tonight after the game, not the scoreboard during halftime.
How about them Rockets?
22 straight wins is impressive. That's more wins without a loss than 6 teams have on the entire season. They've done it by going small, stellar defense, and good shooting. I was hoping that the streak would hit 24 games so that the Warriors could be the ones to end it but Boston stole that thunder. Then New Orleans started another streak for the Rockets, a 2 game losing streak.
All of a sudden it seems like people don't care about the Rockets and are discounting their streak. I'm surprised about this. They have 1 superstar and a bunch of very good role players. Tmac is the unquestioned leader of this team, but it's the play of Luis Scola, Shane Battier, Carl Landry, Rafer Alston, and Dikembe Mutombo that got them rolling. They came back down to earth and clearly weren't as good as their 22 game win streak would suggest, but they're still dangerous and a threat to the Warriors playoff chances.
Don't look now but the Warriors are 2.5 games up on Denver and only 1 game behind the Mavericks for 7th. For those of you scoreboard watching, Denver, a poor road team, plays New Jersey on the road at 4:30pm. The Warriors will know the outcome of that game by the time this game starts. Dallas is idle.
We can't have a letdown tonight not only because it's GSOM Night but because this is a team the Warriors can beat especially at home. Buckets won't come nearly as easy as they did the other night against the Clippers. The Warriors will actually have to work for their shots. Should be a close game throughout because the Rockets play good D (tough to score a ton of points) and the Warriors don't (easy to get scored on). Baron's 27 minute night in LA should give him fresher legs for the game tonight and hopefully the back to back with the Lakers. Everyone else needs to bring it tomorrow.
Lets Go Warriors!
