OPEN THREAD: Day 33 of the 2k8 NBA Playoffs

Was that not a hell of a game last night or what? If you didn't catch it, the good Faker fans over at The Lakers Nation have plenty in store to catch you up to speed.

I can't believe I'm saying this but GO LAKERS! Please save us from the potentially unwatchable Spurs-Pistons or mildly fun Spurs-Celtics NBA Finals.

J to the U to the P to the M.

(just seeing if you're paying attention)

G2: Detroit Pistons @ Boston Celtics (Celtics lead 1-0)

The home dominance in this year's playoffs is pretty impressive. I'd go so far to say that even though it's a little predictable it's just great for the league. The home fans go home happy and the regular season actually means something. In case you didn't believe it before, all 82 games really do count. Just ask the historic 2006-2007 Golden State Warriors.

Tonight I see that home dominance continuing with the Celtics going up 2-0 in the series. I predict tonight will be the night Ray Allen remembers he's Jesus Shuttleworth, not some random scrub who can't hit a jumper to save his life. Unfortunately for the Pistons, there's no telling when the always solid Chauncey Billups will return to form. It doesn't help that that lovably crazy 'Sheed is completely unpredictable either. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pistons lose by double digits in Game 2.

The Boston Three Party Temporarily Missing One will probably go 2-0 tonight, but I still see this series going the full distance with the Celtics finally prevailing to square off with the Lakers in an 80's throwback. Wouldn't it be crazy if the Celtics won it all this season without winning a single playoff game on the road?
