Warriors (2-0) vs Bobcats (1-1)
Game Time: 7:30p
Randolph showing off his handles
Anthony Randolph followed up his 30 point performance with a somewhat pedestrian 11 points and 5 boards against the Mavs the other night. He's also got 9 turnovers in the first 2 games which needs to get fixed. Perhaps he's adjusting to the higher quality of play or handling the ball more than he did in college, but I'm sure Nellie doesn't give him any time if he keeps this up. Of course it's only been 2 games, so I'm still excited to see what he can do tonight against the Bobcats.
Marco Belinelli showed what he can do in Summer League by dropping 25 points even though he was just 2-8 from 3 point range.
Brandan Wright was perhaps just as impressive by scoring 15 points by going 7-10 from the field. His 7 boards were also nice to see in just 25 minutes. What's more is, he swatted 2 more shots and is now averaging 3 per game. Hopefully, he can continue to protect the basket like that and challenge some shots in the interior in real games.
I'm disappointed in CJ Watson's performance thus far. Just 6 assists in 2 games isn't what a backup PG should be doing. But I'm not watching the games, so it's hard for me to tell if he's doing a good job initiating the offense. On the positive side, he's averaging 4 steals a game. I know he's still young and showed some good things last year, but he's got to record more assists.
Tonight, they take on the Bobcats who show off absolutely nobody except DJ Augustin. Perhaps former Warrior Jermareo Davidson will want revenge for the Warriors trading him on draft night in last year's JRich trade but I doubt it.
Go Warriors!
