Keith Smart
On Today's Game:
"It was good how we played. The guys hung in there through everything that went on and the bottom line, we won the basketball game. I thought Dorell (Wright) did an incredible job and in one of our timeouts he just spoke up real strong to our guys and said it was going to happen on this defensive end and that’s what the guys did. Made some plays, grabbed some rebounds and went down and made the free-throws. "

On Monta Ellis:
"When the players saw him at shoot around this morning, I thought it lifted the players spirits and they started to believe. Him, being who he is, he just came out and played his game. He came out and played tonight. Our team is so close; it gave us a nice boost to see that he was going to try and perform tonight."

On David Lee:
"We had a good conversation before the game. I told him to just find me, look at me and what I’m trying to do is get you to your center point. When you feel your emotions trying to take off, locate me. He kept himself under control and played a good game."

"He’s been great from day one. Just his leadership first. I didn’t know in scouting him and seeing that he does certain things – but yet, as he’s gotten into our program and started working, he’s started to see that we’re more, starting to defend on the post-up, everything that has been said about him – he does it. He works hard, he communicates, he gets guys together group-wise to have functions with their wives, girlfriends; all those things you don’t normally get from one player, we’ve got from one guy. He’s poured all of that into our team. All of the other things you can’t go out and scout – now it’s exposed and what he’s showing our team and young players is how to be a pro."
David Lee
On Returning To New York:
"I was very emotional. I kind of calmed down after the starting intros and then after the video, I got all riled up again. I know it was trouble when my legs started cramping up early in the second quarter because I had spent so much energy being too hyped going into the game, but I was just really proud of our team tonight. It was a well-played game by both teams. I think both teams are going to have a chance to be pretty good this season, and I’m just happy we came out with the win. I’m hurt a little bit right now. Wilson (Chandler) tried to bite my arm off (laughs)."

On The Cut On His Arm:
"I know, I know, I see three layers of tape over it. Well I got the rebound and he (Wilson Chandler) was diving in to get the offensive rebound and his tooth dug in and sliced it open pretty good. I can actually see the bone coming out a little bit. So it probably requires a few stitches and I got to deal with the Knicks medical staff. I just wanted to hang out with them a little bit more I haven’t seen them in a while so I’ll get that chance tonight."

On Today's Game:
"It meant a lot because it’s another win on the road for us, and coming back here for me it did have a special significance. It was a very special tribute that they did for me tonight. I got to give the Knicks a lot of credit for what they did and how they put it together. I haven’t seen something like that since what they did for Jamal Crawford or anyone from recent history other than retired players. But like I said it would have been for nothing if we didn’t win the game because I would have been very, very frustrated so I am happy we finished it out and got the win."
Stephen Curry
On Today's Game:
"The way we played last year, I don’t think we would have won a game like this, especially with Amar’e (Stoudemire) in attack mode. This is a different team."
