It wasn't too long ago that the Dubs squared off against the Pists (okay, that's probably not their nickname, but I find it a little amusing). My man R Dizzle gave the Warriors the edge in all the matchups except for the bench, yet the Warriors still managed to lose a very winnable game.
IQofaWarrior called it a frustrating loss to start the road trip (it actually got more frustrating with David Lee's injury, but don't worry we'll come back with BRUSH YOUR TEETH chants this Friday when the New York Knickerbockers come to town). R Dizzle just sighed.
In preparation for tonight's matchup I'd implore you to hit the rewind button a little bit:

Back to the present. The Warriors have new owners! (Not sure if I mentioned that yet.)
Back to tonight's game. The Pistons are coming off a nice win last night in Sacramento, so it's worth a scouting click and roll over to Sactown Royalty:
Shoot, while we're at it click and roll over to DBB:
- Pistons Beat Kings 100-94, Declare Supremacy Over Western Conference Basement- To tell you the truth I'm a little offended that the Pists faithful (there I go again using that silly nickname) have already pronounced themselves the conquerors of the Western Conference opposite-of-elite without beating the Warriors at the Roaracle. It just seem premature!
You should now be prepared for tonight's game.
Predictions
- Stephen Curry steps out of his inconsistent funk and begins a stretch of excellent play with 10+ dimes.
- One of my all time favs Benny Wallace has more blocks and steals (combined) than points.
- Coach Keith Smart does the smart thing and benches Brandan Wright. Seriously where are all those Nellie haters who whined incessantly to play Brandan Wright? Wake up call: If he's playing any semblance of consistent minutes for your squad, your team is short one backup forward.
- Jason Maxiell has a beastly 10-10 against a David Lee-less Warriors interior.
- Dorell Wright (that's 1 R and 2 L's) gets back into the swing of things by nailing 3 from downtown.
- The artist formerly known as Tracy McGrady depresses us with his play. Sadly, his T-Mac-ness is a thing of the past. It really wasn't that long ago McGrady was one of the best players in this league.
- Warriors by 3.
