Postgame Quotes from warriors.com recap
Don Nelson
On the Jazz:
"We think Utah is probably as good as anybody in the West that we have seen. We have a lot of respect for them. They did what they were supposed to do. We came in underhanded and didn’t have any size and they just didn’t give us a chance. They put the screws to us in the first quarter and just added to it. That’s what good teams are supposed to do."
Stephen Curry
On tonight's game:
"We are trying to stay hungry. We get a lot of great experience playing these playoff teams down the stretch. They’re fighting for playoff position so they’re going to give us their best shot even though we are having a tough season. Defensively we are going to try and step up our game so we can start fresh next year. It was tough. I got in foul trouble early. They played a very physical brand of basketball and we tried to be as physical as they were. We just didn’t have it tonight. That is something you have to bring every night."
On playing against Deron Williams:
"He is one of the best point guards in the league. He showed it tonight. Offensively and defensively he brings it. It’s nice to go up against him. I learned a lot. Hopefully these types of experiences will make me a better player."
Anthony Morrow
On tonight's game:
"This is a pretty good team. I think our guys played hard. At the end of the day they just have too much size down low. I think they have four or five guys 260 and up. Our big guy, Chris (Hunter) went down with his nose and he still tried to come back in and play. I take my hat off to him for that. AT (Anthony Tolliver) battled, Corey (Maggette) battled, the whole game everybody tried to battle, and at the end of the day we just came up short and it’s because of that. I think everyone is going to come back and play just as hard and just as scrappy. We have to come out with the same mentality that we had the last few home games."
