Kevin Durant vs Kobe Bryant + Captain Jack going nowhere + San Antonio Spurs vs Dallas Mavericks (again!) + Amare Stoudemire on FIRE! :: 2010 NBA Playoffs Day 2

Today's main attraction is none other than the...

Thunder vs Lakers- Reconstructing We Believe: Are we the 2006-2007 Golden State Warriors? [Welcome to Loud City]

Could it be?

JUMP for the rewind of Day 1 and preview of Day 2 of the National Basketball Association's 2010 Playoffs!

Day 1 Rewind

We previewed the madness in Gift of a Superstar- LeBron James vs Derrick Rose, Dwyane Wade vs Kevin Garnett, Carmelo Anthony vs Carlos Boozer :: 2010 NBA Playoffs Day 1. Here's what went down:

Cleveland Cavaliers 96, Chicago Bulls 83

Cavs lead 1-0

Just be glad we don't have to see the Cavs whop on the Craptors.

LeBron exits stage NY.

Atlanta Hawks 102, Milwaukee Bucks 92

Hawks lead 1-0

34 points ain't a bad playoff debut for Brandon Jennings at all.

Welcome to the playoffs JC!

Boston Celtics 85, Miami Heat 76

Celtics lead series 1-0

I love Kevin Garnett more than the next guy, but seriously- when did KG become such a punk? I blame the city of Boston.

Please don't act a fool.

Denver Nuggets 126, Utah Jazz 113

Nuggets lead 1-0

Melo doin' work with 42.

He makes LaLa so proud.

Onwards to Day 2!

#8 Oklahoma City Thunder @ #1 LA Lakers

12:00pm PST | ABC

Right now we're all talking about Kobe vs LeBron, but 5 years from now we'll be talking about the Thunder.

Longtime GSoMers root for the Thunder.

Prediction: Lakers by 1.

#7 Charlotte Bobcats @ #2 Orlando Magic

2:30pm PST | TNT

I'll cheer for these two former Golden State Warriors over Captain Jack--- anyday.

Mickael Pietrus FTW.

Matt Barnes FTW. [via]

Prediction: Magic by 6

#7 San Antonio Spurs @ #2 Dallas Mavericks

5pm PST | TNT

Without the golden crowd the Mavs have a real shot at winning it all.

Is it just me or do these guys meet up in the playoffs every single season? This could be one of the NBA's all-time greatest rivalries if the Snores weren't so boring.

Prediction: Mavs by 3

#6 Portland Trailblazers @ #3 Phoenix Suns

7:30pm PST | ESPN
You know I used to think the Blazers had next, but unless Greg Oden can stay healthy and morph into a superstar or at least an All-Star caliber center, the Blazers are going to be locked into mediocrity for the next 3-4 years. Say hello to the 6th, 7th, or 8th seed every season Portland.

Jason Richardson for Brandan Wright? Brilliant! (sarcasm)

By the way can you believe there was a fair share of Warriors fans who weren't willing to trade Andris Biedrins and Brandan Wright for Amare Stoudemire last summer? Post All-Star break Amare has owned the association with 26.6 ppg with some incredibly gaudy percentages and 9.6 rpg.

Happy Playoffs!
