Keith Smart
On having Monta take the final shot:
"There were no reservations where I was going to go. Our All-Star made a play…made two big plays one before that and then came back with the game winner. I said ‘Worst case scenario guys we go to overtime. That’s the worst thing that can possibly happen if you don't turn it over. Take it down to the last possible moment that you can shoot the basketball.’ And they did a god job. He (Monta Ellis) got to his spot on the floor and made a big play."

On bench play:
"As I mentioned a couple of days ago, I don’t know who’s going to show up towards the end of our rotation. And today it was a guy that hasn’t played in about four or five games and Brandan Wright came in and did just what we needed to get done at that junction of the game. He came in and made some big plays on both sides of the ball and had some finishes around the basket. So that’s how our team is going to be as we keep pushing our rock a little bit up the hill."

On Monta Ellis' All-Star chances:
"Right now it (his play) is saying that I belong there. If you are looking at the All-Star break and saying we are going to showcase the guys that are playing the best basketball at this particular time of the year. Not the team right now, the team is playing OK. But who is playing the best basketball right now…and there you are. He’s one of the guys that is playing very, very good basketball right now and has done that all year. From training camp he’s made a statement on how he’s going to play here. And he has to keep it up, and of course I’ll keep putting him in situations to make plays, but he’s doing a lot of stuff on his own. He’s got himself playing a great rate right now and I think he’s going to keep going. And that’s all we can do, that’s all he can do, all we can do. Then it’s up to everyone else who makes the decision. But for right now, his game is speaking for him."
Monta Ellis
On tonight's game:
"I wanted that one. We fought back too hard to go into overtime. Who knows what would have happened. We've got a lot of guys like Brandan (Wright) who came in off the bench and did a heck of a job. David (Lee) made some big shots and free throws. Steph (Curry) came in and made a huge shot. Dorell (Wright) played a solid game like he has been playing. It was great."
