Keith Smart
On ending the game with an injury to Monta Ellis:
"Well you’re coming down where you got the ball in your hand and space out and a little thing where you roll up an ankle (sprained left ankle) here and there. But you know that’s just the way breaks go sometimes and hopefully it’s not serious and we get him back – may not be tomorrow night but we’ll see. If not we’ll get him ready for our next game."
On the comeback win:
"We were in trouble, we were definitely in trouble. We were in trouble from the beginning of the game – we were flat. We had a lot of conversations the other day, guys had their heads somewhere. We had to get them regrouped and get them focused and get ready to play and they did that. We made runs in the game; some guys stepped up (Dan) Gadzuric came in and gave us positive, positive big man minutes on the floor. And of course our backcourt played very, very well and David Lee and Dorell (Wright) had a bad start but got his composure back. I told these guys I trust you, but you have to know that I can’t hang on to you if you are playing bad and he understood that. But it was a quality win, played hard and made some gigantic plays."
Monta Ellis
On his sprained left ankle:
"It’s a little sore right now. We’re going to see how it’s in the morning and go from there."
On how he injured his ankle:
On How Tyreke Evans Injured his Ankle: "(Tyreke Evans) just jumped for the ball and he just fell on it."
On his game-tying shot to force overtime:
"I asked him if he wanted me to shoot it earlier. I wasn’t (having) a good shooting day. He told me to do me. So I just took it down and took the last shot."
Stephen Curry
On coming back from nine down with less than three minutes left:
"The next four possessions are key for us to get back in the game and if we don’t do anything it’s over. I thought we played good defense for the whole game. We made them take tough shots but we gave them offensive rebounds. Our offense got a little stagnant in the fourth quarter. When you come out of the timeout that’s when you have to execute the plays, somebody is going to make a play to get you back in the game and the crowd back into it. We kind of got the momentum back and took it from there."
On Monta Ellis’ shot to force overtime:
"It’s a tough call. If he goes fast he’s not in control as he wants to be. If you go fast and miss it then they make two free throws and the game is over. You can’t stop who gets the ball. So you live or die by that shot and it worked for us."
