Keith Smart
On getting the win:
"This is a big step for us. Knowing that this team was desperate, they had to try and get a win and our guys fought through it. They were fatigued from last night and they fought through it and they stayed within themselves. Just, our bench once again. Our starters, our top players, they are going to equal out against other team’s best players and our bench is going to be the key for us in this next push when we come back from this break."
On the match-up:
"You had two teams who played last night, flew back in and the rhythm is all off. That’s natural on a back-to-back. Plus you’re dealing with the fact that half their mind is in the All-Star break somewhat, somewhere – Maui, Bahamas, somewhere. But yet, they found it and guys made some big plays. Our guys are just going to be humble, keep our heads down and keep working hard."
Monta Ellis
On tonight's game:
"It was a big game for us. We treated it like it was a playoff game and we came out and played together and got the win. I just took what the defense was giving me. I have to give credit to my big men though. They were setting nice screens for me to come off and do my thing. All the credit goes to those guys."
On the match-up against Deron Williams:
"He gets up and pressures you. He makes you work. So when you have a guy playing tough defense like he did, it’s great to have big men to set nice screens and my big men did that tonight."
Stephen Curry
On tonight's game:
"I got into foul trouble and missed my first four shots so the bench came in a did a great job of keeping us in the game and getting us the lead and then in the fourth quarter Monta (Ellis) took over and that was the way we took control of the game. You can’t always draw up the perfect game, but tonight we were able to get the win."
On the difference between the Jazz and the Warriors tonight:
"With this being the last game before the All-Star break, (sometimes) guys have a tendency to check out and look forward to going on vacation. We did a good job sustaining focus with that early run by the Jazz in the second half. We haven’t played real well (in Salt Lake City), so for us to fight through the adversity with the break, it was just a matter of buckling down and getting this win."
