GameThread #77: Dallas Mavericks @ Golden State Warriors - Who's Getting PUNK'D?

Mavericks (53-22) @ Warriors (32-44)

Tip-Off: 7:30 pm | CSN Bay Area | KNBR 680

SB Nation: Mavs Moneyball

After the Lakers worked over the Mavs 110-82 on Thursday night, Matt Barnes took to the Twitterverse to add insult to injury with this bit of eloquent analysis:

Me & the Golden St homies laid out the blueprint on how to beat Dallas.. "PUNK'EM" Aint $h!t changed homey.. So enough w/the small talk

Seems like there is suddenly a lot of talk about whether or not this version of the Mavericks is any better suited to make a run deep into the playoffs than they have been in the past. With the addition of guys like Chandler, Marion, and Brian Cardinal (mostly joking) is this the scrappiest version of the Mavs yet, or will they get intimidated and pushed around come playoff time?

Predictions

  • Monta plays all 48 minutes the game after tweaking his ankle
  • Udoh blocks Dirk's un-blockable shot again
  • Chandler pulls down more rebounds than Lee and Udoh combined
  • Lee gets two fewer rebounds than Chandler
  • Reggie shoots 70% percent or better and gets benched after each made shot
  • Dorell passes up 7 (would-have)made threes
  • Curry throws Wright an alley-oop from the locker room
  • Beaubois scores a new career high, and it never occurs to Fitz that the Warriors defense might have something to do with it. No, no... he's just on fire!
  • The Mavs leave town decidedly un-PUNK'D
