Warriors vs. Nuggets: Postgame Interviews (11/10/12) by Warriors
Mark Jackson
On his message to the team after the game:
“Just disappointed. This is the worse I’ve felt after a game – quite honestly last year we were not good enough to win a lot of ball games. That’s just flat out what the truth is. We are good enough right now. We got outworked tonight. They dominated us on the boards. We made critical mistakes down the stretch that are simple basketball plays to make. We came out of a huddle, with a foul to give, and they got a drive dunk. The bottom line is, we can’t make these mistakes. The good teams, the playoff teams, the elite teams – they don’t make these mistakes. We’ve got to be disappointed. It’s just a bad feeling; they outworked us. I thought there were some very good things in the game. Defensively, we did some very good things.”

On free throws misses in the second half:
“It’s a make or miss league. We have to make those free throws, but that’s not what lost us this game. After we miss a free throw we didn’t execute and we made crucial mistakes. The good teams, the good players, the great players if they miss free throw they say ‘I’m going to get it back on the other end’. You can’t add to missed free throws with bad defense because you are thinking about the free throws. There is nothing you can do about that. Understand it’s a process and in order to get there you have to go through times like this, but I’m not a patient guy with the process when it comes to that. There are mistakes that you can’t make. And we made some.”
Stephen Curry
On if the tough loss hurts:
“No doubt, you are at home playing a tough team in Denver and coming off an embarrassing loss in L.A. We had an opportunity to protect our home court then the way it ends in double overtime with them hitting two big three’s down the stretch. Also we had two or three chances to execute the game plan down the stretch to close the game out. It does sting for sure. We have to learn our lessons and be ready for Wednesday.”
David Lee
On tonight's game:
“First of all we are all, very disappointed, that’s the first thing you take away. I’m really disappointed on the way I played. I kind of let not making shots affect my play and it’s something I have to get better at. I have to continue being aggressive. We had the lead a couple of times in late game situations and our inexperience showed. We missed some free throws, we had a fouled to give when (Danilo) Gallinari gets the dunk on the last play to tie the game. The game should have been over at that point. From then on we had some situations where we had couple calls not go our way. Overall we just didn’t execute the way they did. The overall theme of the game is if we play half way decent it’s not a game to begin with.”
Interesting Tweets
(before the game)
Rusty_SFChron: The Warriors sent Jeremy Tyler home because he was sick with flu-like symptoms.
Rusty_SFChron: Bogut said watching LAL game on TV was tough, but not as bad as in person. On TV, "you feel helpless; in person, “you want to grab someone.”
(after the game)
Rusty_SFChron: Klay Thompson left his street clothes in his locker and drove away from Oracle Arena in his uniform. Guessing he's shooting FTs right now.

- Before the game, Jeremy Tyler was sent home with flu-like symptoms. Whatever David Lee and Jarrett Jack had must be spreading.
- The world is going to end in 2012:

What's next?

- Ugh, we're sitting on this loss for 3 full days before we host the Hawks, who have a pair of Anthony's we've seen before: Morrow, Tolliver.
