Time for our weekly summary of NBA rankings for the Warriors. It's important to remember that while the press is fun to read, the team still has only one task: win each game as it comes.

But Lee has also stepped up offensively, averaging 22.4 points on 58 percent shooting as the Dubs have won six of their last seven. Always fun to see us top 10.

9 Golden State Warriors 13-7 9 W: @DET, @BRO, @WAS; L: ORL Gol Dens Ta Teof MI ND David Lee, Klay Thompson, and Stephen Curry (who took an ankle tweaking in stride this past week) are all having fine Decembers and Draymond Green's defending impressively in increased minutes off the bench. The short-handed Warriors continue to look remarkably well-rounded, and the next step seems to be eliminating stretches of carelessness so they can make quicker work of bad teams -- the Warriors let Detroit and Washington hang with them a bit this past week (and lost to the Magic, too). Stifling nippy bottom-dwellers and earning some blowouts might graduate Golden State from "team with a very good record" to "very good team."NBA power rankings, Week 7: Spurs, Thunder surge back on top - SBNation.com

ESPN has the Warriors climbing as well, up from 11th.

9 Golden State 13-7 2 Last Week: 11 Steph Curry is making his $44 million contract extension look like a bargain. The Dubs continue to be a quality defensive team and an upper-echeleon rebounding team without Andrew Bogut. And now they've got more road wins -- seven -- than any team in the league outside of San Antonio.NBA Basketball Power Rankings - National Basketball Association - ESPN

Same with Sports Illustrated. Ninth from eleventh - if feels good, doesn't it?

9 Last Week: 11 Since: 2-1 Golden State Warriors (11-7) The Warriors are off to their best start since 2005-06 and might be the biggest surprise in the West (other than the Lakers, for other reasons). Mark Jackson has turned Golden State into a respectable defensive team, bringing it from 26th to 13th in points allowed per possession despite Andrew Bogut's absence. Now it's time for him to emphasize rebounding to his team of sharpshooters, as Golden State is 10-1 when it wins the battle on the glass. It also helps that Stephen Curry is finding his stroke, shooting 19-of-34 from behind the arc over the last five games, four of which the Warriors won.Oklahoma City Thunder latest to top NBA Power Rankings - Matt Dollinger - SI.com

9 Warriors 13-7 4 9/21 We knew there’d come a time when lineup featuring Stephen Curry, David Lee, Klay Thompson and others would climb the charts. Golden State Warriors I am terrified to write up Stephen Curry praise. It feels as though any mention of how fantastic he's been over these past two weeks might incur the wrath of his ankle. It looms over every movement like the sword of Damocles. Curry sure doesn't seem phased, though. So far in December, he is averaging 23.4 points, 8.4 assists and 50 percent shooting from three. He's playing at an All-Star level at a time that coincides with Klay Thompson's return to competence. I have little faith in their defense sans Bogut, but this is a potentially explosive offense with Curry at the helm. I know that Golden State hopes for Stephen Curry or David Lee to make the All-Star team, but I have a different suggestion: Can "No more Monta anchor" make the Western 12-man roster?10.
