Mark Jackson
On the most upsetting part of the loss tonight:
“Not taking care of the basketball. We were careless and that gave them life. 24 turnovers and 31 points off of turnovers – tough to win ballgames that way. That’s not what championship caliber teams do.”

On how to fix the turnover issue:
“We have to value the basketball. Every single individual on the floor. Eliminate the careless plays and make sure that you are efficient with basketball. We are not doing that and it’s hurting us bad. You look at that Spurs team with 23 points in transition which had a lot to do with our careless play on the offensive end. When we take care of the basketball we are awfully good.”

On the 24 turnovers by the entire team:
“The problem is they are unforced errors. That is not a team that forces turnovers; we were careless with the basketball. Just disappointing.”

On the Spurs winning without the 'Big Three':
“We respect their basketball team. We know who they are and they have a body of work with their stars and without their stars. Their role players for them had a big night. I think more importantly we got out of character when we established a lead. We started being careless with the basketball. The way we gained the lead was by executing, defending and taking care of the basketball. What happened was we got out of character and gave them life by being reckless with the basketball.”

On Harrison Barnes and Klay Thompson:
“They are not playing well right now. Not going to sit here and make excuses for them. I believe in my guys, they have had some great moments for us and they will have great moments for us, but right now they aren’t playing their best basketball.”

On their final shot:
“We had a lot of action going trying to get the ball to Steph (Stephen Curry). Klay (Thompson) was also a live action option out of it. That is a big time defensive team, they played it well and then they jumped Steph (Stephen Curry). Give them credit.”

On their missed three-pointers:
“We just missed shots. This is a make or miss league. We got wide open looks and we just missed them, especially guys that are knockdown shooters – that will happen. Not concerned about that. Concerned about turnovers and that is what hurt us.”
Andre Iguodala
On the game:
“We just got outplayed, outsmarted, outhustled. They showed characteristics of a championship team. They’ve been there. Hopefully we can take that away from this game, see how it is to play like that. They didn’t have their main guys but we knew it would be a dog fight tonight just because those guys are hungry. We’ve got to get out of our old trends and games like this, a good butt-whooping will wake you up.”

On the team's turnovers tonight:
“They did a good job of pressuring us all night defensively and they had a full-court press on us and kind of spread us out and turned us over. They did a good job, you’ve got to give them a lot of credit and we’ve just got to do a better job of taking care of the ball.”
David Lee
On turnovers and transistion points:
“I’ll have to go watch the film. I don’t know if it’s spacing, if it’s just carless mistakes, but turnovers have been a consistent theme in the games we’ve lost this year. It was something that killed us once again tonight. I thought when we got our defense set we were pretty good, but the number of transition points they had as well as early offense opportunities where we weren’t set because of turnovers really did hurt us.”

On rebounding and interior play:
“It’s frustrating, all the effort that was given in the game that an ‘extra effort play’ was what got us at the end. We controlled the boards so well. We’ve done that the last ten games or so I think. We’ve done a very good job points-in-the-paint-wise, second chance points, and controlling the glass overall. So it’s frustrating that last play got us.”

On the Spurs:
“They’re a team that has won championships, that knows how to win. Regardless of who they have on the floor they have a proven system. Are they a lot better in that system with Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, and [Manu] Ginobili; absolutely, but they have a lot of guys that still play big minutes playing for them tonight and it just goes to prove that if you don’t play your best that anybody can beat anybody.”
Andrew Bogut
On the game-deciding play:
“I’m not sure, I have to watch the tape. I had the ball on the offensive rebound and I don’t know if it was a foul or not, I’m not saying it was a foul. I think I fell on his foot, just fell down and the ball bobbled out of my hands. It was either that or a travel or fall out of bounds. I don’t know if it fell into Kawhi’s [Leonard] hands or someone. He shoots it and they get a tip-in. Tough play; that’s what everyone will look at, but we didn’t lose the game with one or two plays, or ten plays in the fourth quarter, we lost the game in the first three quarters.”
