Mark Jackson
On tonight's game:
"I think we showed who we truly are. We’ve been upset with the way we’ve played. We came in here against a team that we had not had much success, or any success, at all against and we got a quality win. I’m really proud of my guys. The energy, effort, enthusiasm and the way we executed. I thought some guys had some big nights. David Lee was back to the old David Lee. We need that guy and he was awesome tonight. Steph [Stephen Curry] was off the charts, directing the show and making plays. Congratulations to him for breaking the franchise record. I thought Klay [Thompson] was outstanding. Our bigs both did a great job on the back. Overall it was a big win for us."

On never losing the lead:
"It was very important. It was the first time in my career that I was locked and loaded to call an early timeout. Fortunately, it didn’t have to take place because of the way we came out. It was a big game for us."

On Stephen Curry not taking many shots in the first quarter:
"He recognized Klay [Thompson] was hot. Klay was getting open looks and great offense was coming off of it. Part of being a maestro is understanding who has the hot hand and making plays. I thought Steph did a great job of that, and when it came time he took over offensively."

On Stephen Curry playing 45 minutes:
"We need to win and he is our best player. [We were] staying aware of the fact of how he was feeling. He said he was fine so we kept him in there and kept the ball in his hands. That’s what the best players do: they will themselves and their group to big time wins."

On defensive efforts:
"That’s who we are. We’re built on the defensive end. It’s very positive that we got back to that. We paid attention to the details. We paid attention to their homerun hitters in the their lineup and did a great job of putting together 48 minutes of basketball. We’ve played this team well, but we haven’t played them well for 48 minutes. Especially coming off of last night [against Houston]. It was very impressive how my guys battled the obvious fatigue and found a way to come up with a quality win."

On rebounding:
"We were very aggressive. [Andrew] Bogut did a great job. I thought David [Lee] did a great job of battling. Our perimeter guys did a great job making sure they didn’t hurt us from the offensive boards. We forced the issue across the board tonight."

On ending the 11-game losing streak against the Grizzlies:
"I’d be lying if I said it didn’t [mean anything]. They’ve had their way with us. It’s been a long time coming. For these new guys here, they don’t know the history. People talk about the San Antonio streak and all of that, but that’s not our history. This is the one streak that is ours and we own it. It’s very refreshing and it means a lot to come in and get a win."
Stephen Curry
On the game:
"We have to be a resilient team. We are not going to play perfectly all year long. We just have to respond, and I think we did a great job tonight. We had to set the tone. When you are up against a team at home, after a tough loss, it’s about who wants it more. We set the tone and got the win. It is important to do that on the road. We hit some shots, but defensively we played better. We took care of the ball. Klay Thompson was hot early. We had some match-ups that we wanted to attack. We didn’t force anything. We trusted our teammates and made plays."

On breaking the losing streak against the Grizzlies:
"We knew what the situation was. We knew what we had to do. In the past, they have been more accomplished. We knew we had to come out on top. We set our minds to it. It was a big win for us. We can be excited about bouncing back and getting the win, but we can’t go lose to Charlotte in our next game."
David Lee
On tonight's game:
"Tonight was a two-fold situation. We wanted to bounce back after last night’s game. Also, we haven’t won here in so long. The Memphis Grizzlies were a team that we needed to beat. So it was an all-around good night for us. It was nice to get out of here with a win and to get some momentum back. Last night’s game was frustrating. So it was nice to get back on track, to be clicking on all cylinders, and to play well as a team is huge. Tonight I feel like we were a lot more aggressive to start the game. We played well defensively to start the game. Also, we didn’t have dumb turnovers that led to easy baskets for the other team. We took care of the ball and shared the ball. We got rebounds, played solid defense, and stuck to our principals. We got a strong lead. They made a good run, like we knew they would. We lengthened our lead in the third quarter to finish it off."

On his progression as a player:
"I felt a lot better. I was trying to be more aggressive. I think if I can get quality shots up, then it’s going to open up the guards more. I’m going to continue to play more aggressive and go from there"

Notes

- With this back-to-back completed, for the rest of this month, the Warriors will play a game every other day, all the way to Dec 31. if the date is an odd number, we're playing. If it's an even number, it's most likely a practice day unless we need a day off. That'll be grueling.

What's next?

- My theory is that Mark Jackson fired up this team before the game by reminding them how the Grizzlies kept their starters in during our last loss. Now, whether the Warriors stay fired up on Monday when we play @Bobcats, we'll see.
