Warriors at Pacers: Postgame Interviews (2/26/13) by Warriors
Mark Jackson
On the fight and how it started:
"I’m not sure."
On his team's performance:
"We didn’t take care of the basketball on the road against a good team; you can’t give the extra possessions and we were careless with the basketball. We got away with it in Minnesota the other night, truth be told; the Pacers are a different team and a better team and we paid the price tonight."
On his team's improvement:
"They’re pros, they compete, they enjoy the game of basketball. We take pride and we defend. Our team has changed the culture; I’m extremely proud of each and every guy. They’ve worked hard and they’re enjoying the fruits of hard work."
On being back in Indiana:
"It’s great to be back; the fans are incredible. The fans have been great to me; I had a blast here. I have a lot of great memories; a lot of great teammates that are friends for life. It’s good to see Donnie (Walsh) sitting over there. It’s good to see this franchise back to where it’s supposed to be."
David Lee
On the physical play of the game:
"Indiana’s a very physical team. They’re one of the most physical teams if not the most physical team in the East. We beat them at our place and expected them to come back at us tonight."
On the game:
"They just out played us. They had more guys contribute then we did. Turnovers were key tonight."
Stephen Curry
On the difference in the game tonight:
"They made one more run than we did. In the third quarter we were able to keep it close. But they fed off their home crowd. David West was big for them tonight. We played pretty well but turned the ball over too much. And you can’t do that on the road."
On his shooting:
"I started shooting pretty well in the first quarter and was trying to find some good looks. Hopefully I can keep it going the rest of the road trip."
Interesting Tweets
(after the game)
gswscribe: David Lee could hardly move his left shoulder after the game. Gotta believe he is questionable for Wednesday at NY
gswscribe: Lee said Orlando Johnson plowed into his shoulder in the second quarter
Notes
- From gswscribe's tweets, Lee's left shoulder got banged into during the game, so we'll see if Lee plays tomorrow. Personally, I think Lee will NOT sit out of a game against New York, his old team.
What's next?
- We'll see if the league suspends anyone before tomorrow's game in New York. Otherwise, you hope this scrum made our players even tougher for the rest of the season.
