The only thing saving the Golden State Warriors from going winless on the road in seven attempts in February is Sunday's one point win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday.

Although that's certainly disheartening after entering 2013 with such optimism, it's not inexcusable either - that was just a difficult stretch of opponents. And things won't get much easier as the team closes February in New York tonight either.

That's not to say we should expect a loss tonight - the Knicks have lost five of their last seven games, including a pair of games to the Toronto Raptors and another road game to the Washington Wizards. But where the Warriors might have trouble against the Knicks is with something that haunted the Warriors in last night's loss to the Indiana Pacers: turnovers. The Warriors have the third worst turnover differential in the league according to HoopData.com while the Knicks have the best. The Warriors will have to take care of the ball to win.

But another factor in tonight's game will rebounding: the two teams are about equal in offensive rebounding percentage and winning that battle could contribute significantly to the outcome of this game.

This will be a difficult test for the Warriors and there still hasn't been any word about whether their will be suspensions from last night's fight or if they'll go into effect tonight. Bob Kravitz of the Indianapolis Star reported this morning that Roy Hibbert is ready to receive a suspension and it would not at all be surprising if someone from the Warriors got a reprimand as well. Either way, the Warriors just need to get out of February and move on in their effort to make the playoffs.
