Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reported tonight that the Golden State Warriors are exploring trade possibilities for All-Star forward David Lee, including a failed offer involving former Toronto Raptors post Andrea Bargnani.
And Woj managed to fit the obvious reasoning behind that within the 140 character limit of Twitter.

Although the natural inclination for most people would be that the Warriors are exploring the possibility of trading Lee because of the team's playoff success without him, it's worth noting that they showed interest in Bargnani long before their postseason fate was determined: Ryan Wolstat of the Toronto Sun reported that the Warriors showed interest in Bargnani as recently as the All-Star break.
With Bargnani no longer an option thanks to the New York Knicks and the Portland Trail Blazers apparently rejecting offers involving Lee and LaMarcus Aldridge, it will be interesting to see who else they look to as trading partners. Yet ultimately, it might just be a matter of doing their due diligence to test the market value of a player who had a career year, as Wojnarowski also suggests on Twitter.
Golden State does value David Lee, had a terrific season for them, but they've simply tested his worth on the market.
