Golden State Warriors 2012-2013 Season Review: Brandon Rush

Brandon Rush
had a pretty good season game for the Golden State Warriors in 2012-'13. He had an astounding 67.8%TS to help propel his team to many one victoriesy, although he showed himself to be turnover-prone (three per game) and was a bit too aggressive defensively, averaging five fouls in 23 minutes. The biggest knock on Rush last season was the poor performance by his knee — structural integrity and tendon elasticity proved to be a problem for him.

Anyway, what else can you say? GSoM was generally ecstatic about re-signing Rush to a two-year, $8M contract before '12-'13, after an excellent season prior... and then kaboom.

There are definitely a couple linings of a silvery nature to his injury:

1) Probably a lot more minutes for Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green than they'd have seen otherwise, giving them valuable repetitions at the NBA level that culminated in some eye-opening performances in the playoffs.

2) He didn't have the opportunity to out-perform his contract, ala Carl Landry, leading to an early termination. No, we'll have him for $4 million this year, and if he can get back to his 2011-2012 form, that's pretty good value.

That's all I got. If you don't grade him with an Incomplete, you're lying.
