According to Marc Stein and Dave McMenamin, Golden State will be represented by 4 - count them - 4 players in the USA Basketball pool for the next 3 years.
Along with returnees Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala, newcomers David Lee and Klay Thompson have made the squad. This is the group of 28 players that will form the pool for the this year's World Cup in Spain and the 2016 Olympics, to be held in Brazil.
If they win the World Cup, Team USA will have the summer of 2015 off. Otherwise, they will play through the Olympic qualifying tournament that summer.
This may be a mixed blessing for the Dubs, with 4 starters looking at extended seasons beyond the playoffs for the foreseeable future. On the other hand, it's a testament to the starting unit that Myers and Jackson have put together that the only starter not selected is ineligible (because Australian).
