First of all,
BIG CONGRATS TO STEPHEN CURRY!
He will be the Warriors first All-Star game starter since good old Latrell Fontaine Sprewell back in the mid-90's.
The Timberwolves are in town tonight and I'd like to rewind back to the 2009 NBA Draft.
You know, the one that was billed as a 2 deep draft at one point. The prevalent mindset was Blake Griffin and Ricky Rubio were the only real deal difference makers. Let's look at the first 7 picks with the benefit of 3.5 years of hindsight:
1) LA Clippers select Blake Griffin- Big time dunker. Debatable how big time he really is, but when he's not playing the Warriors he's fun to watch.
2) Memphis Grizzlies select Hasheem Thabeet- Bust.
3) Oklahoma City Thunder select James Harden- Fantastic 6th man in OKC who had lift off in Houston.
4) Sacramento Kings select Tyreke Evans- From Sactown's R.O.Y. to N.O.P. Very strange career trajectory.
5) Minnesota Timberwolves select Ricky Rubio- Great highlights, but wasn't worth the wait.
6) Minnesota Timberwolves select Jonny Flynn- As a Warriors fan, I'd just like to extend a big thank you on behalf of Dub Nation to the entire TWolves organization.
7) Golden State Warriors select Stephen Curry- Nellie's last gift to Warriors fans. 2014 NBA ALL-STAR GAME STARTER.
Not a bad draft for the Clippers, Thunder, and Warriors. Not bad at all.

Here's my 4:
- Stephen Curry: Good enough for the All-Star team and good enough for my fantasy team tonight.
- Andre Iguodala: Might mess around and get a triple double.
- Harrison Barnes: He's still the man behind one of the greatest bobblehead dolls ever created.
- Marreese Speights: I've seen rumors that Kevin Love is not a strong defender.
