Mark Jackson
On the Warriors' performance in the third quarter:
“Just great. We were disappointed the way we started the game. We gave up 36 points in the first quarter. When talking about the second half; giving up 38 points, holding them in the 30’s in field goal percentage. I thought we did a great job offensively, executing, taking care of the basketball. First and foremost, we did an outstanding job defending them and getting them somewhat out of rhythm.”
On the Warriors' road winning streak:
“It means something because it’s history. We don’t take for granted the history of this basketball team, good or bad. It’s an honor and a thrill to be mentioned with some of the great teams in franchise history. You look up and you duplicate some of the things they were able to do, so you don’t just throw it away. Take a deep breath, enjoy it, and carry on with our personal mission.”
On having players who weren't born the last time the franchise won nine in a row:
“It puts into perspective the history of this franchise and how far in a short period we’ve been able to turn it around with great moves by ownership, by management, spectacular players that have bought in, and the other thing is sustaining. It’s a heck of an accomplishment, but like I said there is still a lot of work to be done.”
On Andrew Bogut's performance:
“We saw exactly what we’ve been watching: rebounding, defending, and being the anchor of our defense. He made some big plays in the paint, blocking shots, and he was aggressive offensively. He’s been that way. It’s great to see him healthy and whole for the first time in a long time. He’s been the key to our defense. Anchored everything we’ve done defensively.”
Andrew Bogut
On the game:
“I think our game offensively is what you guys are going to write about, but defensively we had a hell of a second half. We kept them under 40 points for the half I believe after they scored 30-something in the first quarter. Defensively is what won the game tonight and is the reason we got to run out and make shots.”
On the win streak:
“We know we aren’t going to win every game and this streak is going to come to an end one game. What we spoke about at halftime, was that once we play the Clippers and OKC and those teams, don’t let this one be a factor down at the end of the season. It’s a game that we thought we had to win, that was very winnable for us on the road, and we have been on the road for what feels like eternity, so to let one slip, and we had every excuse in the book to do so, we fought through and got a win for us.”
More on the streak:
“This is the longest streak of my career, so hopefully we can keep rolling. It’s great to win, you know. Through different games, there have been guys that have played well and played bad, but as a whole we have kept it together. Guys aren’t worried about their stats, and minutes and those kinds of things which is just as important during a winning streak as during a losing streak.”
On their defense in the second half:
“We just bought in. Sometimes we can get a bit lackadaisical defensively because we rely so much on our offense and we forget what we need to do to win games. When we can get a good 6-8 minutes, a 10 minute period where we lock down consistently, we know we can get some easy tries at baskets. Our defense is built that way, our coaches do a great job of scouting and setting our defense that way.”
Stephen Curry
On his pass of the backboard to Andrew Bogut:
“My only option was to stick my left hand out to redirect it. Thankfully it hit the right spot on the backboard and Bo [Andrew Bogut] made a quick reaction to go up and it was planned to not throw it the first way. We’ve never done that before so it’s nice that it worked out.”
On the Warriors' third quarter adjustments:
“Defensively, we were forcing tough jump shots and had to live with the result rather than making them hot like they were in the first half. We stuck to our game plan better than we did in the first half once we got stops and were able to run in transition. David [Lee] made some huge plays, continuing his All-Star level of plays in the past two weeks. [Andrew] Bogut made some great plays. We were able to space the floor. Me, Andre [Iguodala] and Klay [Thompson] so it was nice to get stops to feed off of.”
David Lee
On quarter adjustments:
“The biggest thing is that in the third quarter we turned it up. That first quarter defense was awful, giving up 36 or 38 points. And in the second quarter we were much better and in third quarter we played the basketball we were capable of playing.”
On taking the division lead:
“To be honest, at this point in the season we are not too concerned about that. We’re concerned if we are playing the right kind of ball right now. We’re finding ways to get wins. And we’ve been looking for that consistency now since the start of the season. It seems like we’ve found it now and we’ve got to keep it going.”
On the Warriors' defense:
“A lot of it I think is extra effort plays, kept [the Wizards] out of transition, they had some good transition buckets in the first half. They’re really good when they can steal, their turnovers or when John Wall is pushing the ball up with shooters and with their bigs on the floor, they’re pretty darn good. We were able to keep them out of transition and defensively, do a better job of talking and rotating over. [Andrew] Bogut had a few big plays, blocking some shots. And then we just got out and offensively I thought we made the game simple.”

Notes
- Wheeeee!
What's next?
- The Bucks are 7-26. They suck. There's no excuse for not winning the next game. The Nets (12-21) also suck, but road trip fatigue with a back-to-back should really be a factor by then. Still, perfect roadtrip, please.
