On the Spurs:

“They’re a great basketball team. (They’re) the best team in basketball right now for a reason. Another job well done (by the Spurs), individually and collectively. I give them a lot of credit.”

On Jermaine O'Neal's status:

“He’s fine. He could’ve played. We’re just being smart.”

On Marreese Speights and Jamal Crawford's performances:

“They impacted the game off the bench. Jordan (helped) by scoring the basketball, Marreese by scoring, rebounding and defending. Hilton (Armstrong) gave us great minutes. I thought it was an excellent effort from us across the board. Never mind the fact that we’re shorthanded. Coming off of a big win last night, we battled. We competed. We lost to a very good basketball team. Now we get some rest and be prepared for the next stretch.”

On his postgame exchange with Gregg Popovich:

“I’ve just got a tremendous amount of respect for him. He’s been great. He’s an all-time great coach, not just in basketball but in (all) sports. I was just letting him know of my respect and appreciation and wishing him the best moving forward.”

On tonight's game:

“We knew the task that was in front of us, with the way they have been playing, obviously. With the lineup we had tonight we had to fight, and I think the energy and effort was there all game long, just came up a little short. I like the way we played. It’s going to take a lot to beat those guys, we knew that coming in, but to split the road trip and have three home games in a row, we’re looking forward to that.”

On the start of the second half:

“It felt like a couple of stops and we could get over the hump. They came out blazing in the first three minutes of the third quarter, and that was tough to overcome. They got their rhythm and their confidence up right out of the gate, so in order to get that many stops you really have to force them out of what they do, and that was tough to do tonight when we needed to get over the hump.”

On the Warriors playing with injuries:

“It’s similar to what we had last year in the playoffs, a guy goes down and a guy has to step up, so that’s how we approach every game. The energy and effort was there, and for the most part we executed, we didn’t make a lot of shots, but executed what we needed to. They’re playing amazing right now. Best team in the league right now, so kudos to them.”

On the Spurs:

“Just the way they move the ball, it seems like they’re always on the attack. They force you to make decisions on both ends of the floor, so it’s always a reminder that we can take it to another level.”

Marreese Speights
On playing the back-to-back:

“We have a lot of guys out. A lot of people doubted us since the Memphis game and we came out and split it, and feel like we’re in a good situation. We’ve got these home games coming up, so we just have to worry about those.”

On making the most of his playing time:

“Just keep going out there and playing hard. Coach keeps giving me a chance, and I’m just trying to make the best out of it. Coach is a good coach and he finds guys and gets the best out of them.”
