So normally at this point, I'd be thinking to myself that the Golden State Warriors just getting a split in the first two games of a road playoff series is enough - stealing home court advantage is the first step to winning a series as the low seed and having Roaracle to look forward to gives the Warriors a much better shot at winning this thing than we might have first expected.
But now I'm getting a little greedy.
Dubs looking to go up 2-0... They haven't won the first 2 games of a series since a 3-gm sweep of Utah in the 1st round of the '89 playoffs— GSWStats (@gswstats) April 21, 2014
In fact, it would be just the 3rd time in team history the Warriors have won the first 2 games of a series on the road ('89 & '69 playoffs)— GSWStats (@gswstats) April 21, 2014
In addition to potentially making a little more history this season, a win tonight would shut down the notion that Game 1 was a fluke that the Clippers only lost because of poor officiating - tonight the Warriors have a shot at further proving the doubters wrong (and yes, I was among them entering this series), which would just make the win that much sweeter.
Regardless of the outcome, let's just hope that the refs don't become the story again.
