On tonight's game:

“You look at the games ahead of you and this was a game that we had to go get. At times this year we haven’t beaten teams that we have should’ve beaten in our building. Some of those are our fault some of those just give them credit because those teams that we talk about are playoff teams. We understood what we had to do tonight and the guys deserve a lot of credit. I thought it was important of the fashion in which we did it because guys were able to get rest. Guys like Andre (Iguodala) got his rest and it was good to see him make shots. We are going to need him and I believe in him. Just good to see him get it going a little bit.”

On DeMarcus Cousins being in foul trouble early:

“He’s their best player and a handful to try and defend. I’m not going to sit here and tell you that won us the ballgame. He has an impact on them and the way that they play just his presence alone. He’s a star player in this league, but our mindset was different. It was important for us to go get this game especially when you think about what is going around the league in this Western Conference race. We took care of business and I’m happy for my guys.”

On Andre Iguodala's impact on the floor tonight:

“I just know that he played great defense on Rudy Gay who has been a handful for a lot of players in this league for a while now and then just making plays. It’s about keeping him healthy now. There’s no secret about the impact that he has on our basketball team and how much he makes us better.”

On Harrison Barnes:

“We need him. I’m going to stay with him. I’ve got confidence in him. He’s a great guy that works his tail off and he cares. I know he’s going to win games for us down the road. It’s great to see him making shots. We are going to need him. He’s valuable to us. He’s a weapon off the bench, another big time defender, and he’s proven that he’s not afraid of the bright lights. It’s great to see him make shots tonight.”

On if the playoff seeding matters to him:

“I think when it is all said and done we will know whether it mattered or not, but our mindset is to win ballgames. Our mindset is to be playing the best basketball possible to close out the season, to win ballgames and then let the chips fall where they may. Whatever seed we are, we’re going to be playing against a very good basketball team whoever it is. We want to take care of our business first.”

On Klay Thompson's expanded offensive game:

“I think the obvious thing is that he’s putting the ball on the floor and attacking. That’s what happens when you stay true to the process. That was something that he couldn’t do or wasn’t comfortable doing when he got into this league. This was another guy that cares, works his tail off and has added to his game since he got here. It’s scary how good he is and how good he can be just adding that to his game. He’s off the charts. He’s a big time, big time basketball player and I think people are going to appreciate who he is and what he brings to the table even more so as the lights get brighter.”

On paying attention to other teams' games:

“We understand what’s going on around us. Obviously we’re ahead of the game and understand if we play the way we’re supposed to we don’t need anybody else’s help. You watch games and understand who’s playing well, who won, who lost, that kind of deal. At the end of the day we have to take care of our business and that’s the only thing you really should be focused on but obviously be aware of what other teams are doing.”

On potentially obtaining a higher seed:

“It means we’re playing good basketball. We have to win to get there, it’s not going to just fall into our laps, so that means we’re playing good basketball down the stretch and into the playoffs.”

On rebounding with a win after a loss:

“It was a real big win for us coming off that loss in San Antonio. We had to come back home and bounce back so it feels good to win at home like this.”

On getting a win with two key players out:

“We knew we had to be locked in the past couple of games because we’ve got two key players out. All these games matter so we wanted to come out here tonight and try to play defense and score the ball like we do.”

On going undefeated at home in division games this season:

“It says a lot. One thing we said is we’re going to protect home court. We haven’t done a great job of that this year but we also said that we need to win division games. Those are very important games. To go undefeated at home in the division is great and also to get a win like tonight, against a team with some very good players on that team. They can get it going and if they get it going you’ve got a problem on their hands. It’s a great win for us.”

On getting a win without the starting big men:

“One thing we always said is the next man up mentality. We’re not going to make excuses—we’re a no excuse basketball team. For two guys to be out and us to put up a win like that, especially when you’ve got a team with a DeMarcus Cousins who can dominate a basketball game, with a lot of bigs, and they try to play through those bigs—to be able to do that with our two starting bigs out was pretty impressive.”

On having a favorable schedule the rest of the season:

“We’ve got, I think, our next four very winnable games and games that we should win. It’s great to get off to a start like this with the games that we said that are games you have to have. Especially at this point in the season, those are games that you need to have and it’s good to get off to a good start tonight.”
