Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut joined the Australian podcast "Grizz & Tizz From Way Downtown" to discuss a number of topics, including Mark Jackson, his status for the FIBA World Championships in the late summer, and Stephen A. Smith.
The juicy headline, of course, is that he called Stephen A. Smith a "wanker", which is fun. If you're still ruminating about the drama that unfolded between the Warriors and Mark Jackson, Bogut added to the chorus of players in support of the Warriors recently-ousted coach saying, "He responded to the players the best of anyone I've been coached by." If you're wondering about his health, there is still a chance that he's healthy enough to play for Australia in the FIBA championships.
Bogut revealed he would be soon having a scan on his ribs as the injury was yet to completely heal and he hoped to get some good news.
Bogut has yet to commit or pull-out of the Australian Boomers side for the FIBA basketball world cup in Spain in August and September.
Boomers coach Andrej Lemanis... leaving the decision in the hands of Bogut and his medical advisers.
Bogut also talked a bit about Australian NBA Draft prospect Dante Exum and the challenges he might expect to face as he makes the transition to the NBA. Draft Express currently projects Exum to be drafted fourth overall in the 2014 draft.
