Golden State Warriors reportedly interested in adding Tyrone Corbin, Lionel Hollins to Steve Kerr's staff

The Warriors' list of candidates to fill out Steve Kerr's staff grows with more former NBA head coaches.

USA TODAY Sports

The Golden State Warriors have been active in pursuing assistant coaches with head coaching experience, with Tyrone Corbin and Lionel Hollins joining Alvin Gentry as names the franchise reportedly has interest in.

We've already discussed Hollins previously and it's hard not to like the idea of him joining Steve Kerr's staff as an associate head coach given his experience and how much interest he's getting as a head coach. Kurt Kragthorpe of the Salt Lake Tribune gave a good summary of why Corbin was fired from the Utah Jazz - and notes that it was about more than wins and losses - but Amar over at SB Nation's SLC Dunk has made the case that Gentry would probably be a better choice than Corbin as a head coach; it might be difficult to get a feel for what Corbin might add as an assistant.
