The Golden State Warriors will play tonight without starters Harrison Barnes (bone bruise), Andrew Bogut (broken nose), and Klay Thompson (personal). The Lakers will also sit aging superstar Kobe Bryant (bruised leg) thus setting the stage for a classic preseason shootout.
BetUs has listed the Warriors (2-2) as 7.5 point favorites and MINUS (-350) on the money line. Golden State will be playing their third game in five nights after running the shorthanded Houston Rockets off the court 123-101 last Thursday night. The Lakers (1-4) are PLUS (+250) on the money line and have not played since losing to the Kings last Wednesday.
The OVER/UNDER for tonight's game is set at 207.5 and looks to be a safer bet than taking the spread. The average total for the Warriors last three preseason games is 220 points per game. Both teams have plenty of young talent looking to earn minutes for the upcoming season. Unless one team comes out flat it seems as though the points will be flowing. The total is MINUS (-115) for both the OVER and UNDER.
If you're feeling the urge of watching a game with a little more importance, CSN Bay Area is replaying some of the Warriors biggest playoff games from last season's championship run. "Warriors Championship Classics" will be airing Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals against the Rockets at 3:30 p.m. and Game 1 of the NBA Finals against the Cavaliers at 8:00 p.m.
