Warriors vs. Blazers gamethread: Jason Thompson expected to make Golden State debut

The Warriors will face the Trail Blazers tonight at 7 p.m. PST.

Kelley L Cox-USA TODAY Sports

Although we won't be able to watch the Golden State Warriors face the Portland Trail Blazers on local television tonight, there's definitely a reason to pay attention: according to Rusty Simmons of the S.F. Chronicle, Jason Thompson will get his first time on the basketball court in a Warriors uniform.

The starters are expected to play about 20 minutes, and reserve power forward/center Jason Thompson will make his Warriors debut.

"We’re going to get him in with the both the first unit and the second unit," Walton said. "He’s had a good training camp. He’s still learning the offense a little bit, but we’ll give him a shot to get out there and run with the guys and see how he looks."

So now that you're even more excited, there might be one way to watch: CSN Northwest is broadcasting this game and it will be broadcast on NBA League Pass (depending on where you are). Check it out and let us know what you find in the comments.
