Stephen Curry tricked 'n' treated a career 53 point night against the New Orleans Pelicans Saturday night. He's scored 118 points in the first three games of this season, a feat only three others in the history of the NBA have accomplished. Perhaps even more remarkably, he's scored those 118 points in 99 minutes, on only 68 field goal attempts. With just five turnovers total.
Draymond Green and Klay Thompson (who's playing limited minutes due to having back issues) assisted our MVP against the Pels with a shooting barrage combining for 40 points. The Dubs are going for their 20th consecutive home win tonight against a defensive-minded Grizzlies team.
Interim Coach Luke Walton is doing a great job starting the season undefeated at 3-0. I will say I was a tad worried during pre-season when our team struggled. I told myself "it's only pre-season," knowing the team would be at 100% at the start of the season. Considering Bogut's absence, Walton seems to be utilizing everyone's talents and setting the right pieces together for success.
The Memphis Grizzles are coming off a great win as well Saturday night, 101-91 over the Brooklyn Nets. Mike Conley dropped 22 points against Brooklyn while Zach Randolph had a double double (15 pts / 13 reb) in their home win. Both Randolph and Gasol have been a challenge containing in the paint. Curious to see what Coach Walton has up his sleeves.
Predictions:
• Stephen Curry will DOMINATE GSoM Night with an all-star performance dedicated to the fans!
• Big night for Draymond Green as he goes head to head with Gasol and Randolph.
• Taking bets Harrison Barnes is looking to posterize a Grizzly...
• It's anybody's night to shine, someone from the bench is going to make some key contributions in tonights game. Is it McAdoo? Barbosa? Iguodala? Ezeli?
• Warriors win by 9 points. Go Dubs!
