The Golden State Warriors look to make history tonight as they are set to square off against the Los Angeles Clippers at Oracle Arena. Tip-off is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. PST and will be broadcasted live on TNT. It will be a fun night in Oakland as the Warriors are one win shy of breaking the NBA record for consecutive wins to start a season. Golden State will be wearing "The City" throwback jerseys and as well as hosting a special pregame ceremony to celebrate the career of Warriors' legend Jason Richardson.
This game features all of the bells and whistles that usually make for a special night at Oracle.
Last Time Out
The Lakers dropped their last game to the Trail-Blazers in Los Angeles on Sunday by a score of 107-93. Twenty year NBA veteran Kobe Bryant is having the worst season statistically of his career. He is averaging just 16 points per game on 33% shooting from the field. Good thing the Lakers are paying him $25 million dollars this season. The Warriors defeated the Nuggets in Denver on Sunday 118-105 in their last game. The win improved the Dubs' record to 15-0, tying them with the 1948-49 Washington Capitols and the 1993-94 Houston Rockets for the best start to a season in NBA History.
The Warriors (-9900) are huge 17 point favorites at home over the Lakers (+2000). The over/under line is set at 214 total points according to BetOnline. The Warriors are 7-3 in their last ten games against the Lakers. Seven of those ten games games went over. Lets check out some betting trends compiled by OddsShark.com:

FLO's PICKS
Here are my picks from Sunday's game in Denver:
ML - GOLDEN STATE - WIN - GS 118-105
ATS - GOLDEN STATE -11 - WIN - GS by 13
O/U - OVER -211.5 - WIN - 223 total points
Season Totals:
ML - 15-0 (100%)
ATS - 9-6 (60%)
O/U - 5-10 (33%)
If I can hover around 65-70% on ATS picks and 45-50% on over/under picks, I will be a happy camper. Until then, there is plenty of work to be done. Lets check out tonight's match-up against the Lakers.
The Lakers are pretty much as bad as their record indicates they are. LA is giving up 110 points per game during their current three game losing streak. The Warriors are averaging 116 points in their last three games. See where I'm going with this? I think the young Lakers squad will be fired up to play in front of what I expect to be a very hyped Oracle crowd. But this Warriors squad will too much to handle. Golden State nearly lost the last game they played against a team as bad as the Lakers with a spread as big as tonight, when the Dubs inched out an overtime victory against the Nets. As much as I hope the Warriors run the Lakers off the court by 30, I expect LA to be able to cover.
Here are my picks for tonight's game against the Lakers:
ML - GOLDEN STATE
ATS - LOS ANGELES +17
O/U - OVER -214
I hope Magic is right..
