As the Golden State Warriors head out of town for a seven-game road trip, they have announced that Harrison Barnes will be out at least a week, as described in a report from Diamond Leung of the Bay Area News Group.
Harrison Barnes is expected to miss at least a week while recovering from a sprained left ankle.
Barnes underwent an MRI exam and isn't scheduled to be re-evaluated for a week and has no timetable on his return, the team said Sunday.
That means that Brandon Rush will get an extended look with the starting unit, which is a good thing in that we'll get a better sense of how well the team can withstand the loss of Barnes. And as Bram Kincheloe has described, it also means that the front office will get a chance to evaluate just how replaceable Barnes is in advance of his restricted free agency experience this coming offseason.
