2015 NBA All-Star Saturday Night schedule: Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson put shooting skills to the test

Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson will officially get their All-Star weekends started by putting their shooting skills to the test on NBA All-Star Saturday night.

We'll get a double dose of Stephen Curry tonight, who will be participating in both the Shooting Stars and Three-Point competitions.

As our own Arno Ferguson -- along with others -- has said, tonight's three-point contest could very well be one of the best fields ever.

But that's not the only event that will have a Warriors player involved tonight.

Prior to the three point contest, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry will compete with his father, Dell, and Seattle Storm All-Star Sue Bird in the Degree Shooting Stars challenge. If you're unfamiliar with Bird, she's second all-time in the WNBA in assists and a career 38.3% 3-point shooter, but is a bit past her prime after 13 years as a pro basketball player (note: women's basketball players typically play year-round to make supplement their WNBA salary, which has the effect of shortening careers). Nevertheless, she has a knack for hitting big shots and hopefully she'll help the Curry's out tonight.

The two-time defending champion of the Shooting Stars event is Team Bosh, which features Miami Heat star Chris BoshAtlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins, and WNBA star Swin Cash, Bird's former teammate in both Seattle and at UConn. I always find it weird that that crew has won twice, but it just illustrates how goofy this competition is; seems hard to bet against a team of Dell & Steph Curry with Sue Bird, but what do I know.

Although you're probably not here to see how good a shooter Curry is in a game of glorified H-O-R-S-E, the NBA has been clever enough not to set times for the other events so you have to be bombarded with advertising for Degree and Taco Bell might as well root for Curry to win the Shooting Stars contest before seeing the three point contest.
