After winning the Western Conference championship last night, the Golden State Warriors will open the 2015 NBA Finals against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, June 4 at 6 p.m.
Here's what you'll probably hear a lot about over the next week: this is the first time the Warriors have made the NBA Finals since 1975. Not one player on Golden State's roster has made it to the league's championship series before. LeBron James has been here before. LeBron James makes Decisions that people pay attention to. LeBron has been most valuable more than Stephen Curry has been most valuable.
LeBron.
LeBron.
LeBron.
Oh, and Riley.
And, again, you'll have about a week of talk, much of which will be completely irrelevant fluff about damn near nothing of importance.
So take some time to enjoy this moment away from your television until the Warriors begin the next phase of their journey: the final stretch toward the championship.
No champagne. A few guys took selfies with the Western Conference trophy. That's the extent of it. Focused on the next four victories.
