Marin based 2k Games has just announced that Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors will be featured on the cover of NBA 2k16, which is set to release this fall. Much like 2k13 where Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose all shared the cover, NBA 2k16 will include Curry along with Anthony Davis and James Harden.
2k games anticipated that fans of Davis and Harden may be bitter having to look at the man who disposed of their teams in the playoffs share the cover with their favorite player. To sweeten their tastebuds, 2k has included a three fold pullout that allows the user to insert a cover that spotlights just one of the individual players, as shown below.

For years, the Warriors have been a gem in the 2k series. I am still unsure if I have ever personally lost a game of 2k when playing with the Warriors dating back to the Monta Ellis days. I remember a time my roommate and I got the cops called on us for getting a little too rowdy while playing. Thanks to our fun loving and ever so outgoing upstairs neighbor, the cops calming asked why the hell they were called to our door at 12:30 am on a Tuesday. "Well sir, we were playing 2k and I guess we got a little loud." Before I could get another word out the cop looked up from checking my ID with a smirk on his face and asked, "You run with the Warriors?" By that point, any butterflies I had flew out the window as I responded with a "OF COURSE I DO! Come on man you can't stop the Dubs in 2k!" It was all smiles and a handshake from there, filled with a long night of NBA 2k.
I was converted to 2k from NBA Live in 2010 and have not looked back since. I still remember the days of Sega Genesis with the likes of NBA Live 95' and Jordan vs. Bird: One on One. To think how far video games have come is pretty amazing and in my personal opinion NBA 2k15 is the most realistic sports video game I have ever played (I say that every year). Why? Because the Warriors can not be stopped, just like in real life.
Where are the gamers at? Any 2k fans here? I have read that Spike Lee has written and directed the first person mode known as MyPlayer. As long as the gameplay doesn't take a step backwards I will be happy, but Is anyone here looking forward to picking up a copy of 2k16? Why or why not?
