The Golden State Warriors play their second game of their 2015 Las Vegas Summer League campaign today at 5:30 p.m. after winning their first meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
After James Michael McAdoo came up big on Friday evening, my personal hope is that we get to see more out of Kevon Looney tonight. Looney played just under 15 minutes on Friday, but grabbed four offensive rebounds, which is promising given what his strengths supposedly are.
But as Steve Karp of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported this morning, Bob Myers isn't focused on numbers right now.
General manager Bob Myers is more concerned with how Looney fits into the Warriors' system than his stats.
"I never judge a player based on one summer league game," Myers said. "He's young. He has to keep learning. With guys like him, you want to see how they accept the coaching, and he has been very receptive so far."
And we shouldn't be judging players on two summer league games either. The hope is to just find more signs of learning today.
