Every year, SB Nation's NBA network does a series of theme days during the offseason to pass the time when news gets kind of slow...like now, when Klay Thompson playing real life Mario Kart is a thing.
The first theme day of this offseason will be on Thursday, guided by the following question: Which player on [your team] is poised for a breakout year (or to be the "hidden gem") in the 2015-16 season?
We'll have someone from our staff write up an answer to that question for us for Thursday's theme day, but in the meantime we'd like to know what you think: Which Warriors' player do you think is the top candidate for a breakout campaign during the 2015-16 season?
Must Reads
Obviously, the definition of "breakout" is vague: any non-rookie player on the roster is eligible (so I'm leaving out Kevon Looney because a rookie can't really "breakout" in my opinion), but you'd have a harder time convincing me that Stephen Curry is a breakout candidate than, say, Ian Clark. Is "breakout" synonymous with "most improved" or would you distinguish between the two. Also...given how I'd define "breakout", I think you could make a pretty strong case that no player on this roster will have a breakout season because of the way the Warriors play; that's why there's an allowance for identifying someone who will "merely" be a "hidden gem".
So just define your terms in the comments (does that sound too school-like for early September?), make your case, and definitely vote in the poll so we can quantify the community's feeling about this (and maybe come back to it later once the season starts).
