In the past 60 years, there have been 31 players who have been regular season MVP. Since Steph has now joined the list, I thought it might be interesting to break down this very exclusive group a little further. First, the list: Kareem, MJ, Russell, Wilt, LBJ, Moses, Bird, Magic, Bob Pettit, Karl Malone, Tim Duncan, Steve Nash, Bob Cousy, Wes Unseld, Willis Reed, Oscar, Dave Cowens, Bob McAdoo, Bill Walton, Dr J, Barkley, Hakeem, David Robinson, Shaq, AI, Kevin Garnett, Dirk, Kobe, DRose, KD and Steph.

I have not included Dr. J's 3 MVPs and 3 Chips from his ABA days.

Those 31 players have 75 rings. Six MVPs (Karl, Nash, Barkley, AI, Rose and KD) have not won a CHIP. That leaves Steph as one of 25 who have both a ring and a chip.

Nineteen of the 31 won an MVP by their 6th season.

Ten of the 31 won a chip by their 6th season: Kareem, Russell, Bird, Magic, Pettitt, TD, Willis Reed, Dave Cowens, Bill Walton and Steph.

Nine of the 31 won both an MVP and a chip by their 6th season. Magic won his first MVP in his 8th season.

Only 6 PGs have won MVPs: Cousy, Big O, Magic, Nash, Rose and Steph.

Only 4 PGs have won both an MVP and a chip: Cousy, Big O, Magic and Steph.

Only 1 PG has been MVP and won a chip by his 6th season: Steph.

So, pretty impressive for a #7 pick and fifth highest-paid player on the team next year! What other lists can Steph earn his way on before he retires?
